Julia Hirsch was born in Belgium and came to America during World War II. While learning English at school, Julia only spoke French, German, and a smattering of Dutch at home. Fifteen years ago she first visited her ancestral hometown in the former GDR and now returns almost every year. She spent six months in Estonia as a Fulbright lecturer.
We are a non-profit organisation that provides a platform for intercultural writers. We want their work to reach as many people as possible and therefore don't charge readers for the magazine. Want to help us?
