Aozora Brockman was raised by an American father and Japanese mother on an organic vegetable farm in Central Illinois. Her parents encouraged her to speak only in Japanese when at home, and she attended a Japanese Saturday School for nine years. Later, Aozora studied abroad in Tokyo and experienced the March 2011 earthquake. Her creative work has been published in literary journals such as PANK, Hermeneutic Chaos, and Fifth Wednesday.
We are a non-profit organisation that provides a platform for intercultural writers. We want their work to reach as many people as possible and therefore don't charge readers for the magazine. Want to help us?
