Stolen Ghazal

clouds_edward stojakovic via flickrWe tried to embrace under curtained sky
stale heartbeats buried under the sky

We should have been true like the wind
searched for traces of rain buried in the sky

Our embrace was stolen by trembling clouds
bittersweet sounds hidden in the sky

We were like we were children in the rain
how we danced and waved to a clouded sky

We tried to kiss under the curtained beam
but knew we were children of a dark sky.
