P ‘n G’d

Author: • April 16, 2018 • Poems

A reliable Proctor & Gamble worker

as a CNC Manufacturing Machinist

near Boston, Massachusetts since

I graduated from Smith College

with a double major in Latin

+ Women/ Gender Studies,

exactly a year to the day

after beginning, when

qualifying for health

insurance, I signed

up finally to have

those sex change

operations to

remove my

penis then

make me

a womb.

No one

I came

out then

went into

the Ladies’

Room to use

their sitdown

toilet the first

time, fumbling

to put in a Tampax

which were of course

free because my factory

produced them, the supe

got wind of what’s going on

regards my gamble, proctored

me for six months before othering

me for wanting to be a mother – thusly

eventually somewhat sub rosa I’m finally

declared a persona non grata – i.e., P ‘n G’d.
