pavements_pixabayThe forlorn past tempts the lonely me,

Hankering to find some solace for both.

Insignificant roads and paltry pavements

Suddenly feel the opposite.

Hazy fragments of memories appeal

and invite the already yearning heart.

The future laments my footing

and abandons me – disconsolate.
